Julia Bueno

Julia Bueno is the Social Media & Community Outreach Coordinator at the Sampson Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is passionate about representation in media, public interest storytelling, and fostering meaningful connections between institutions and the communities they serve. Julia transforms complex kidney genomics research into accessible, community-focused digital content for our platforms. She leads cross-platform content strategy, data-informed outreach, and patient-centered messaging to elevate health equity and amplify diverse voices in pediatric research.

Julia Bueno holds a BA in Mass Communications from Loyola University New Orleans and is currently pursuing her MS in Public Relations at Boston University, with a focus on political communications.

With over three years of experience in nonprofit communications and agency settings, Julia specializes in strategic planning, media relations, and culturally relevant social campaigns. Julia’s work has earned multiple awards from PRSA and Press Club New Orleans, including honors for her community-driven initiatives with New Orleans NonProfits and community-driven campaigns.
